Sandra and Richard Hellewell have owned and operated the NZ branch of
Sonographers Medical, (
Sonographers Medical NZ Ltd ), since returning from the UK in December 2003 , where Sandra had worked as a locum Sonographer for 3 years.
Since 2003, Sandra has performed a split role; continuing her career as a Sonographer with a privately owned Radiology practice in Christchurch, whilst establishing, developing and promoting
Sonographers Medical NZ Ltd., a busy schedule which she has found a very enjoyable and rewarding challenge.
When
Sonographers Medical NZ Ltd was initially established, locum staff placed through their offices were limited to professions within Radiology , but with the parent company’s rapid expansion into all Allied Health Professions and Health Science Service staff , their field of operations has widened considerably over recent years.
Not only do Sandra and Richard assist recruits heading to the UK and Australia, but increasingly hospitals and private Radiology Practices within NZ are contacting the office, in search of locums to cover both short and long term vacancies, as well as permanent positions.
Whilst Sandra looks after much of the professional and clinical side of running an Agency, Richard’s role within
Sonographers Medical NZ Ltd is one of IT, finance and technical support, along with office communications and reference verification.
Sonographers Medical NZ Ltd is increasingly a favoured choice for providing locum and permanent Allied Health Professional staff throughout NZ and being a local face for those Professionals wanting to work in the UK.
